Overlord is a series I have always had some interest in and some time ago I was happy to hear they had a new Overlord coming soon. If you don’t know already Overlord was like Pikmin except you sacrifice countless brain dead followers to do your bidding… on second though it is Pikmin but it doesn’t pretend to be anything other than cruel and unusual. However I then learned it was not an Overlord 3 but some kind of top down spin off; so overlord without the minions. It reminds me a lot of the Lara Croft spin off games that were recently free on the PSN, something piggy backing a popular title with bad gameplay. Besides a couple of minor things this game appears to be an entirely different beast from the previous games. I mean common, an Overlord game with little to no minions?! It was supposed to be released already but it seems to have been delayed until October 20th. I thought about trying it since it has an online co-op, or betray your partners because we are evil here, but for 20 dollars or so I think I can do better. Maybe someone else can find interest in this game but I think I’ll just keep hoping for Overlord 3… or go play Pikmin…. I have trouble telling the two apart…
