Overwatch fans rejoice, yes there is a one year anniversary event and it starts today and runs through June 12th. Like previous events this one will add a upwards of one hundred new items including a number or legendary skins for multiple heroes, most notably Lucio, Genji and Tracer. Not only that, but for anyone who is as bored of the same 3v3 map as I am there is good news because the anniversary has also introduced three new 3v3 stages. Named Necropolis, Castillo and Black Forest all three are based off of already existing maps. This is available on…
A new Kickstarter project from the developers at Third World Productions a Mexican based developer brings us The End Is Nahual: If I May Say So. A traditional style point and click adventure game that combines both 2D and 3D graphics with puzzles and actions scenes. Besides its magical appearance it is also deep in tradition and culture but it doesn’t fail to bring the laughs as well. The devs graciously agreed to answer some questions for the fans and I hope anyone reading will think about backing the game before the campaign ends on June 11th. -Can you…
For those of you not waiting for Dishonored 2 or spending another couple hundred hours on Skyrim never fear because the PSN free games for November are on the way. Last month was kind of all over the place from the remastered version of Resident Evil to the depressingly bad Transformers: Devastation. There were a few odd balls in the mix, From Dust and even Code: Realize are worth playing for the trophies if nothing else. I don’t know if Sony ever really has a plan for what they will release but it seems more and more random lately, case…
Overwatch fans rejoice because another new character, for a total of 23, is on the way. Leaked in October, Sombra was made official and demonstrated at the recent BlizzCon. The first new character to join the roster was the sniper and healer Ana, a support character that turned out to be so-so. Blizzard is long overdue for some new characters as they try and keep people hooked on the wildly popular game. The special October event Junkensteins Revenge and the Halloween themed goodies was a nice touch but short lived. Even the similar yet short lived Battleborn has almost half…
Mafia 3 has a lot of great parts that just aren’t put together very well. It’s like the developer took what made open world games great like GTA 5 popular and added L.A. Noire to the mix; or in other words, a fair amount of old fashioned racism. Although it is more interesting this time since we play from an African American perspective where it would actually matter. It even looks a lot like L.A. Noire with the old timey set-up and terrifying rubber character designs and shiny teeth. So while Mafia 3 has an authentic atmosphere (because this shit…
Paper Mario: Color Splash may not be innovative or as good as early games in the series but it still has plenty to offer. To be fair, it would be extremely difficult to match up with Thousand Year Door but Color Splash isn’t far off. With bright colorful graphics, almost non-stop humor and the usual Paper Mario wonkiness it is a worthy sequel for fans of the series. Unfortunately, Color Splash is dragged down by its predictable nature and the combat system it inherited from Sticker Star, as many fans of the series feared. While Color Splash seems large at…
Another month has come and another list of free games for PlayStation Gold members released. Maybe the gripping finally got through to someone because the lineups haven’t been all terrible lately, Rogue Galaxy was entertaining and Yakuza 5 was a nice touch, even if it did kill the memory on my PS3. This month however Gold members seem to have a number of strong, if old, options across every system. Starting on the PS4 is Lords of the Fallen, the slow and simple minded half-brother to the Souls franchise. Not to say it’s bad, it’s even kind of good controversially.…
Fallout 4: Nuka-World, possibly the last DLC for Fallout 4, provides players with the opportunity to be the one thing they couldn’t be, a massive evil prick. It isn’t the same as the karma system in Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas but it does let the player choose with less ambiguity than before. Instead of following the same general path regardless of choice in the main game players can choose to be an evil tyrant or savior. Nuka-World also adds a new map, just like Far Harbor, with creative new amusement park locations, a few new enemies and new…
What can anyone say about Gal Gun: Double Peace? Well for starters it’s from Japan… and that kind of sums up the entire game in just three words. It’s. From. Japan. Why is that boy running around shooting teenage girls with an instant orgasm gun? It’s from Japan. How can that boy use Superman strength pervert vision to looks through girl’s clothing? It’s from Japan. What are those giant tentacle monsters doing to those school girls? It’s from Japan. Gal Gun: Double Peace is not for everyone and you may want to be careful around the kind of people it…
