If you’ve been eagerly awaiting more Nintendo Wii U fan-favorites to make their way onto the Nintendo Switch platform among the likes of Pokken, Mario Kart 8: Deluxe, and even New Super Mario Bros U. Deluxe – well, you’re in luck!
Nintendo has recently revealed via social media that the 3rd iteration in the Pikmin franchise, “Pikmin 3” will be headed to the Nintendo Switch later this year as “Pikmin 3: Deluxe”. The game will feature the core Pikmin 3 experience we’ve all come to know and love, along with all of the DLC that was available for the game, all packaged into one, complete game.
Prepare yourselves, brave explorers! Set-off for the lush planet PNF-404 when #Pikmin 3 Deluxe lands on 10/30! This version features multiple difficulty modes, new side-story missions featuring Olimar & Louie, and all the DLC from the original release. https://t.co/UbljqJUQjX pic.twitter.com/7oht5o5mZI

In addition, the game will seemingly include some new content as well, as players will be able to to “embark on new side-story missions featuring Pikmin experts, Olimar and Louie!” These new side-story missions are said to provide players with a bit of context on the events leading up to the main story of Pikmin 3, as well as what followed after the main story. Perhaps we may get a little sneak peak into what may be in-store for us in Pikmin 4? Who knows, but new content is something we’re definitely all happy about, and to be honest, it wouldn’t be a “Deluxe” edition without some new stuff thrown in, now would it?
Pikmin 3 Deluxe launches on October 30th, 2020!
