Reboots are a thing of the present now. Prominent in both the movie industry and video game industry, it seems reboots are something us nostalgics just cannot get enough of, and for good reason! One of the more recent reboots to hit the market, is DOOM, as is one of those reboot titles that actually has been doing fairly well and it seems ID Software is now prepping for their next reboot.

A recent job listing posted by the company, appearing on ZeniMax has stated the following:

“id Software is looking for a Senior Physics & Simulation Programmer to work as part of a development team on legendary id game properties like DOOM and QUAKE, developing physic and simulation technology for the game industry’s most advanced engine technology. This position requires engaging in a proactive, high energy development environment on our core technology team.”

While this doesn’t at all confirm the existence of a Quake reboot, at least we know that ID Software is still planning on releasing new software in the near future. With both DOOM and Wolfestein being the most recent remasters from ID Software, it is very likely that we will receive a Quake reboot, next, if anything at all. The only question is, when?
