So the remake or remaster of a game based off a movie based off a game turns out to be more of a reboot of the entire franchise. This brief look at the upcoming new Ratchet and Clank game and the subsequent movie, coming April 29th, is great if scripted. It is not just some revamp of the graphics for the PS4, this seems to be a mostly original story with more characters, deeper story and a lot going on. Back in my day those of us not made of money had to choose between Ratchet and Clank, Jak and Dexter or Sly Cooper and I guess we know who won that fight in the end. HOW YOU LIKE ME NOW SLY?! Like all things that go on past their lifespan though Ratchet and Clank was kind of starting to crap out as well, or the CoD syndrome for short. So restarting from scratch is probably the best case scenario… something I hope Batman does as well.
