Splatoon 2 is without a doubt one of Nintendo’s most successful titles on the Nintendo Switch, of course, alongside the likes of Breath of the Wild, Mario Kart 8: Deluxe, and Super Mario Odyssey. But despite the title soon to be closing in on a year since it’s release, Nintendo seems to be continuing their support for the game more than ever, and has announced that a special Splatoon 2 “Start Edition” will be launching for the retail price of $59.99, the same price as a standard copy of the game.

The┬áStarter Edition of the game is set to come with two pages full of Splatoon 2 themed stickers, as well as a 100-page strategy guide entitled the “Splategy Guide”, which aims to help newcomers to the series learn the ropes and get them kick-started. The Starter Edition version of the game is set to arrive on March 16th, so if you’ve been waiting to jump into the Splatoon franchise, you may just want to consider picking this one up.

In addition to Splatoon 2 seeing a sort of re-release, Nintendo has also announced that the game will be receiving some new Amiibos this year, specifically of the infamous Pearl and Marina characters that come to greet us basically every time we boot the game up. While no word has been said as to what exactly their in-game functions will be when utilizing the amiibo’s, Nintendo did announce that both will be available via a two-pack bundle for $24.99
