Mortal Kombat X has been a huge hit since it release last month, bringing all of that gory, butal, and “Krucial” fighting game combat we all know and love to the next-gen hardware. The game also launched alongside a a Season Pass which was is set to include four additional characters for the roster. Two of which are to be movie icons, and the other two, returning Mortal Kombat characters. Jason Voorhees is the first character of the four to be released via the Kombat Pack, however with three more on the way, speculation has already begun regarding who we will be receiving next.
The next character we can expect to see however, is seemingly the lovely “Tanya”. A fan of the series recently contacted Ed Boon on Twitter, regarding if she were going to be added into the cast, Boon responded with, what I suppose to be a pretty down to earth response.
- She’s koming soon,
- In early June,
- Or my name ain’t Boon.
So it looks like she will be coming after all! I personally love female characters in fighting games, so this pushes me a little bit more towards picking up MKX. We will probably receive a trailer featuring the character quite soon, considering June is roughly a week away.
Mortal Kombat X is currently available on PlayStaion 4, Xbox One, and PC. Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3 releases have been delayed.
