With 2020 finally coming to an end, it’s about that time where we once again look back at all of the amazing video game titles released this year, as we decide who will be crowned with the honor of ‘Game of The Year’. While every gaming outlet seemingly has their own selection of GOTY titles, The Game Awards, hosted by Geoff Keighley has become the industry standard over the years; with pretty much their selections being seen as legitimate across most the gaming sphere. The event as a whole has grown to such a large scale, that it’s almost like it’s own mini game show, like an E3 but with Awards.
This years nominees for Game of The Year have recently been announced, and the selection is looking pretty reasonable I would say. I believe it will definitely come down to the wire with the votes, as many of these titles that were picked have been highly anticipated and have such a huge following in general. The nominee’s are as follows:
- Animal Crossing New Horizons
- DOOM Eternal
- Final Fantasy VII: Remake
- Ghosts of Tsushima
- The Last of Us Part II
Quite a lineup, eh? You can vote for these titles, and more for their respective categories by visiting the official website here.
The Game Awards will be take place all digitally this year, with a live-stream happening on December 10th.
