If I’m being honest, the Sony Conference was okay for me personally. There were some hype titles like the new God of War feat. Papa Kratos, The Last Guardian, Hideo Kojima swagging down the walkway, but a majority of the Sony Conference was hyping up their VR tech and titles. I don’t even have a PS4, and with news of the PS4 Neo, I may just hold out until the “next gen” arrives. Plus VR just isn’t my cup of tea at the moment. However, if you’re into VR, then this conference was/is good for you: since basically every game…
I can feel my inner weeaboo flowing through me during this E3. In contrast to Willreaper’s wishlist, mine draws heavily from the Sony conference since I am most looking forward to Square Enix’s games. As far as the games I currently know will be at E3 or are likely to be at E3, my list goes something like this: Deus Ex: Mankind Divided I haven’t gotten around to playing Human Revolution (even though I own it), but my friends and other people constantly cite it as a great game so I will be keeping my eye on this one. Final…
It’s crazy that I was just playing Dragon Ball Xenoverse and wondering when the next game would come out, and then this news comes along. Bandai Namco launched a site (which you can find below) which displays a number of visuals from Dragon Ball movies and games. Supposedly, the visuals hide hints as to what the next game may be. Since there’s a picture of Xenoverse my bet is on Xenoverse 2 (along with Sean Schemmels’ comments from earlier this year), but honestly I would probably be interested in whatever they put out. Currently the countdown timer is at 10…
In what appears to be Pokemon meets Lilo and Stitch, Pokemon Sun and Moon takes place in a more tropical region in comparison to the previous games (at least based on what was shown from the trailer). Graphically the game looks similar to X and Y and ORAS. The trailer also shows off the new starters: Rowlet: An Owl’s Face on a Ball’s Body Litten: FIRE-CATS HO! …
Quantic Dream, the studio behind Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls revealed a trailer at Paris Games Week; their new IP is titled Detroit: Become Human. The trailer gave off some of the classic AI gaining sentience and emotion vibes that seem to be inspired by Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep (and many other works which were influenced by the aforementioned novel). Supposedly, the game’s main character, Kara, was originally based on the character from a tech demo by Quantic Dream three years ago, also named “Kara” (though I haven’t played the demo or watched gameplay so I can’t say). …
The LinkedIn page of a former Square Enix designer revealed details about the upcoming entries in the Kingdom Hearts series. According to the page, a new game titled (somewhat unfortunately) Kingdom Hearts 2.9 is currently in development for the PS3 and PS4. The title also made a brief appearance on Square Enix’s E3 schedule, before being quickly removed. According to the LinkedIn descriptions, Kingdom Hearts III will see the return of the Gummi Ship, introduce a multiplayer mode, and will feature a Pixar themed world. While KH3 will not be making an appearance at Tokyo’s Game Show, Square Enix has…
In a recent press release, Nintendo revealed their plans for the rest of the year, with some big titles being given release dates including: Fatal Frame, the new Starfox, and Devil’s Third. For the Wii U: Runbow (August 27) Super Mario Maker (September 11) Skylanders SuperChargers (September 20) LEGO Dimensions (September 27) New Super Mario Bros. U + New Super Luigi U Bundle (October 16) Yoshi’s Woolly World (October 16) Guitar Hero Live (October 20) Just Dance 2016 (October 20) Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water (October 22) Star Fox Zero (November 20) Xenoblade Chronicles X (November 20) Devil’s Third…
Square Enix decided to hold their first ever press conference at E3 this year and it was well worth it. They announced numerous new titles to their long running series as well as providing new trailers and updates to previously announced projects such as Kingdom Hearts III (which looks amazing and I could hardly stop myself from fangirling all over it). Just Cause 3: I’ve only played a little bit of the previous Just Cause games, and from what they said about it and the game play shown, it seems like they’re just making everything as ridiculous as possible,…
I was eating dinner with my mother and younger sister when this announcement was made. I had heard that there was a leak and that they would be announcing the remake during the Sony conference, but given Square Enix’s previous handling of this title I was honestly expecting another PS1 port to the PS4, so when they previewed World of Final Fantasy I was about to lose it. Well I did lose it in the end as I nearly spewed my food across the table and received looks of concern as I watched the announcement. If you’re not familiar with…
EA displayed a number of trailers for new titles at E3 this year, the foremost being the new Star Wars Battlefront, Mirror’s Edge: Catalyst, and Mass Effect: Andromeda. Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2: EA announced the sequel to the Plants Vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare (if you couldn’t tell from the line above) and showed a trailer along with gameplay footage which is included below: Need for Speed: EA provided a release date and some footage of car customization and gameplay. Gameplay: Unravel: A new Yarn and physics-based puzzle platformer from Swedish developer Cordwood Interactive. It looks incredibly cute and…
