A few more details have risen regarding Dragon Quest 11, which we now know is in development. The series creator, Yuji Horii, recently discussed a few more details about the upcoming game in an interview via NeoGAF. He stated.
I don’t have much to tell now, but we’re making many preparations. One thing is for certain, Dragon Quest 11 will be an offline game
He also revealed that this Dragon Quest will be returning to the core roots of the series. So it’s safe to assume we will be seeing that classic, raw, turn based combat we all know and love. Yuji also stated, when asked about what platforms the game will be arriving on that “Dragon Quest 11 is designed for home consoles.” It’s pretty safe to assume that the title will be arriving on the PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The Wii U will probably be missing out on this release, however many DQ ports have been released on the Nintendo DS, so there is a solid chance we could see the game arrive on the Wii U, highly doubt it though. With the game seeming quite early in development, it is plausible that we could see it released on the NX. This is wishful thinking of course.
