Titanfall, was without a doubt one of the first biggest, heavy hitting, and console converter of this new generation of gaming. Though during the time of Xbox One’s launch many were still skeptical of the console and it’s directions, Titanfall was sort of the sealing deal that pushed many gamer’s to purchase the console.

Recently, a developer from Respwan entertainment, while speaking to IGN during the pre-BAFTA Game Awards show interviews, confirmed that a sequel is in development, and will be arriving on Xbox One, PS4, and PC.

The developer of Respawn, Zampella, stated; “I guess EA announced a sequel, so I could play coy and pretend I don’t know anything about it, or… yeah. So we’re working on a sequel. No official name yet, but we’re working on that. That’s the main focus but we’re starting up a second team and doing some smaller stuff too. Small, exploratory, taking it slow! It’ll be multiplatform.”

The developer did not mention whether or not it will be titled, TitanFall 2, or even what would differ the sequel from the original, but he did mention that more effort is being put into the game to add more single-player based elements.

Overall, it’s great to hear that a sequel is on the way, and will be arriving on a good variety of platforms this time around. Hopefully we’ll hear more regarding the title during this years E3.
