It’s real, it’s actually happening, I cannot contain my excitement! Yooka-Laylee has come a long way ever since it’s successful crowdfunding campaign which took place back in 2015; and now it’s soon to grace us all with 3D platformer nostalgia as we race across a world that is completely new to us. Yooka-Laylee in a way, is a nod at Rare’s Banjo-Kazooie series, as the team behind the title “Playtronic”, consists of many developers who were behind the development of the Banjo-Kazooie series. There are new accessories to improve your gaming sessions in this platforms in which you can also…
The new Prey title is Bethesda’s next highly anticipated title, and with not all that much information having been revealed as of recent, the company has decided to come on out and spill some beans regarding the title, and when exactly we’ll be able to have it in our hands. Bethesda released a brand new gameplay trailer for the title, alongside their release date announcement of the title, officially confirming it to be arriving on May 5th for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. An alien-infested space station. Badass weapons and powers. And… Yu. Fight your way through the deadly Typhon…
Need some racing action to tide you over till the release of GT: Sport? Or perhaps the inevitable next Forza release? Well, Dirt 4 is on the way, and this time around is set to arrive on all of it’s launch platforms at the same time. Codemasters has recently announced that Dirt 4 will be launching on June 9th for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Dirt has been known for being a racing franchise that focuses much more on off-road racing, something that isn’t all that common in most simulation racing titles. Dirt 4 is set to feature some…
Remember those days when we used to get video game versions of most of the superhero titles that released in theaters? Yeah, me too. It’s been awhile since developers have followed that trend, as most adaptations became quite unsuccessful, despite their being a few gems, such as the Spiderman titles which launched on the Xbox, PlayStation 2, and Gamecube. But that’s besides the point. Superheros are BIG right now, probably bigger than they have been in awhile since most movies have been getting significantly better, and it seems video game developers are hopping on this hype train while there’s still…
For those of you who have been awaiting for Retro gaming fix, but had to put it on hold this Holiday season due to the Classic NES console being sold out absolutely everywhere, you’re in luck. GameStop has recently stated that U.S stores have received a new stock of the NES Classic Edition, so you’ll definitely want to get your hands on one now if you’ve been interested in picking one up. Stocks likely won’t last long, as the system has been sold out pretty much everywhere since it’s release on November 11th. Buyers interested in purchasing at GameStop are…
Another Pokemon game is finally seeing it’s release on the Mobile platform outside of Japan, with Pokemon Duel officially being released. The title released earlier last year in Japan under the name “Pokemon Co-Master”, and Pokemon Duel is simply the title for the Western release. The title is much different than any other Pokemon title you’ve ever played before, as this one is much more strategy based and focused. Pokemon Duel is a sort of virtual board game of sorts, where players will choose 6 Pokemon figures of their choice, with the ability to customize their abilities and move-sets. The…
Nintendo has come out of nowhere once again and has revealed yet another limited edition Nintendo 3DS system! A new Pikachu Nintendo 3DS XL is on the way, and is set to go on sale on February 24th for $199.99, almost exactly a week from the official launch of the Nintendo Switch (RIP MY WALLET). I must say I like the design of this New Pikachu 3DS XL much more than the original one, which was for the original 3DS XL; mainly due to the entire color-scheme being Yellow, as opposed to only the outside of the console being…
Tekken 7 is truly the BIG fighting game title which is set to arrive on consoles this year. The franchise is arguably the “Street Fighter” of 3D fighting games, and considering it’s been roughly 6 years since it’s last main entry (Tekken 6), fans of the franchise are more than eager to get their hands on the latest iteration. Originally, Tekken 7 had a scheduled release window of early 2017, many fans have been speculating either a March or April release date, but it seems we’ll have to wait a bit longer than that before the game officially hits store…
We’ve received a ton of information regarding upcoming Fire Emblem projects which are to be released throughout 2017. With Fire Emblem: Hero’s arriving on Mobile platforms this February, Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia arriving on the Nintendo 3DS this May, and with Fire Emblem: Warriors heading to both the Nintendo Switch and the Nintendo 3DS this Fall; it’s safe to say that Nintendo has seen the recent success with the Fire Emblem franchise, and are now running with it while the hype and craving is fresh! Despite all of these titles in the works, Nintendo is working on yet…
During the recent Fire Emblem Nintendo Direct which took place this week, Nintendo revealed a re-imagining Fire Emblem title which is in the works for the Nintendo 3DS entitled Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia. Shadows of Valentia is set to be a re-imagining of the 1992 Fire Emblem title, Fire Emblem Gaiden; which was quite unique when compared to the more recent Fire Emblem releases as the game contained free-roaming. Fire Emblem Shadows of Valentia will be a re-imagining of Fire Emblem Gaiden, ultimately giving us a more modern Fire Emblem Gaiden experience. The re-imagining will still hold true…
