Bad news folks, the new Silent Hills game has been canceled. Remember last summer when that playable teaser called P.T. was released? The teaser that had a nearly impossible final puzzle? The one with the mind blowing trailer for a game collaboration between the maker of Metal Gear Solid, Guillerno del Toro and Norman Reedus the actor for The Walking Dead. Reedus has already made one game, The AMC’s Walking Dead, which was a sort of prequel that turned out alright. The cancellation was confirmed on twitter by Reedus and later confirmed by Konami. A real blow to the gaming…

WHAT. THE. HELL. So no release date yet and no I’m not upset about that. I just felt like abusing a large Mario doll today. I also didn’t like that comment made during the gameplay portion ‘localization is in progress’. In progress? My diet has also been ‘in progress’ for some years now but that doesn’t mean a damn thing. So what did we learn from the direct, not a damn thing. Okay, to be fair there was a lot of information on the game but it was information we could have learned from the trailers. Or the spoilers that…

Holy jeepers batman! Big news for all you RPG fan out there, Nintendo direct will be sharing a big announcement for the long awaited Xenoblade Chronicles X tomorrow and I AM PSYCHED. I remember the old Xenoblade Chronicles being one of the last truly great RPG’s. With developers shunning anything without chest high walls or life like graphics like its the plague. Afterword’s there will be a presentation of the game but who wants to watch someone else play it, you f-ing want to play it. Make sure to watch tomorrow or Friday 24th April at 11am specific time… or pacific,…

Mortal Kombat X is so violent it makes any Quentin Tarantino movie look like an episode of My Little Pony. Mortal Kombat X has so much gore it makes Ichi the Killer look like Garfield the movie. Mortal Kombat X is so crazy to play it makes even the most psychotic GTA player look as if they are playing the Apples to Apples Bible edition. Do you understand what I am telling you? Good, because I’m going to keep beating it like so many other things in my life, violently and ruthlessly. I was apprehensive about buying this game; I…

Big new! My PS4 has just informed me that Star Wars Battlefront, no not that one the new one, is currently scheduled to be released on November 17! With all the remakes this year in games and movies I feel like I’m reliving the 90’s…no the 80’s…how old am I? Whatever, I am super excited for this game and to finally play against people online. The lobbies are going to be huge as well, with an average lobby being able to hold up to 40 players at one time. Personally, I think it is time for a return of the droid…

On the fence about buying the new Mortal Kombat X? Well maybe this will help you decide. For a limited time Target is offering 20 dollars off when you purchase the game on PS4 or Xbox One and a season pass at the same time. The game is 60 and the season pass is 30, so basically you will be getting the season pass for only ten dollars. There are at least four characters included, such as Jason Voorhees from Friday the 13th and Predator, yes the Predator. So it is a good price considering the normal price of bonus characters…

If I can be serious for a moment, I have always had the strong belief that ignorance spawns directly from misunderstanding. How else can one group hate another group for reasons, they barely understand, that came from completely incorrect sources to begin with. Back in my day, god I feel old all of a sudden, I enjoyed Dave Chappelle. Not just because he was the funniest comedian of a generation but because he had cultural relevance. When he made fun of a different race he wasn’t just being a prick, he was trying to make a point about how ludicrous…

Sherlock Holmes, possibly one of the greatest literary figures ever, also makes a fairly enjoyable video game. Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments, a title so epic that it needed to refer to two great works of literature instead of one. While I am familiar with Sherlock Holmes from books and of course the movie, in which Holmes is played by Iron Man, seeing him portrayed in a game is new to me. Although, in my arduous studies of the wiki page I found that the developer Frogware has put out a number of Sherlock Holmes games. Having some sort of…

When I think of my experience playing Mario Party over the last decade or so it seems to go in phases. When I was young, my friends and I would get together and play Mario Party until his mom finally left, at which point we would play his brothers copy of Clay Fighters. In my teen years we played Mario Party because we were bored of playing everything else and there were only so many non-racing games that accommodated three or more people. Then in college it was repurposed as a drinking game. Something that always became more frustrating than…
