In what is probably the strongest E3 opening I’ve seen in years Bethesda really knocked it out of the park last night. They started with the new DOOM which really does feel a lot like the original Doom, a game that had so much hype anyone who had anything to do with it received a free pass for life. Even if it plays like the first Doom it looks like a modern game. The graphics look great actually, you can really get a feel for the insides of an alien… demon? I’m not really sure; I thought I heard the…
Well Elder Scrolls Online just got its system release and immediately fell on its face and broke its nose. Since it came out Monday night the game has been plagued with log in failures keeping many players from even getting on. I personally have not even been able to play yet because I keep getting nothing but log on failures and since it is a MMORPG you can’t play without the server connection. So basically many people paid money for a game they can’t play at all because Bethesda couldn’t tell how busy the server would be compared to the…
Credit where it is due, this trailer for the new remake of a game based off a movie based off another game looks really sweet. New weapons, new planets, new enemies, new a lot of stuff. This is clearly not a remake or update, besides some of the story it is a full blown rebirth of the Ratchet and Clank franchise, which it really needed. It looks really great on the PS4 and I’m really psyched for next spring when it comes out. As long as they badass my R.Y.N.O I’ll be happy though.
In what could be almost as big a deal as the new Fallout 4 finally being announced or a possibly bigger let down than the fact we probably won’t see Fallout 4 for another year, I have recently obtained inside information that we could be getting info on Zero Escape 3 at E3 this year. If you don’t know what the Zero Escape series is imagine something that is part Syfi, shove in some quantum physics and top it off with a great story. It started with Zero Escape: 999 on the DS and then continued with Zero Escape: Virtues…
For the love of all that is good and merciful Sega just let Sonic die already! You stopped beating his twitching body years ago and just started putting his unconscious form in to terrible poses. Let’s call this ‘the era of shit Sonic games because Sega couldn’t figure it out’. Even more cruel and unusual though, now Sega has put Sonic and his pals through the ringer and mutilated their bodies until they are barely recognizable. When I show the new Sonic Boom to my older non-gamer friends who played the original Sonic ages ago I find a repeating pattern.…
Ohmygodohmygodohmygod! I am totally freaking out here! It has finally happened! It has been years since the last Fallout and even longer since Fallout 3. The trailer went live earlier today and while there is not much, if any information, at this time I am still losing my mind! So it is a guarantee that Fallout 4 will be announced at E3 this year but what will they tell us? Who knows, hopefully a release date at the least. I hope it is sometime this year but considering how long this game has been in development and this is the…
Holy hell is it that time of year again? The time of year when all the pale and sweaty nerds rise out of their hovels and gather in one place in hopes of gathering free swag and see minute glimpses of games that may or may not be. Something I can only dream of doing since I can’t go, forced to be content with watching online from my own hovel. Well it should be a hell of an E3 this year with every developer rushing to show off what new shiny graphics they’ve made for the next gen. Except for…
Now that May is ending and June is here it is finally time to jump on Willreaper’s ‘super happy expensive fun time summer train of gaming’ so come and take a ride with me reader. It will kind of be like the boat ride in the original Willy Wonka and I promise only to nail the bandwagon in the next lane a couple of times. Hell I might have to give up cable… and eating, before I knew it I had well over a dozen games pre ordered through just the summer. Way to go developers, you delayed the games…
Well now that June is upon us it’s time for all of us with PSN Gold accounts to get some more free games. Last month had some interesting choices Ether One comes to mind since I just recently finished it. I still found a couple of crash spots and a save corrupting bug after the patch but they can be avoided. Anyway out with the old and in with the new. Honestly I don’t know most of this month’s titles very well and some are new to PlayStation but not in general. Maybe I’m jumping the gun but there are…
I remember the good old days, a time when a gallon of gas didn’t cost more than a cheap meal at McDonalds. A time when there was only 150, or 151 if you want to be a nerd about it, pokemon. A time when I could actually remember them all and didn’t have to think ‘Why does that snow cone have a face?’ Feeling nostalgic I wanted to play my old Gold version, my version with the complete pokedex and legit lvl 100 team. What did I find though? The battery had died and it will never hold a save…
