It has been a long and bumpy road but we have finally reached the end of Batman. After some delay the train has finally entered the Batman station though and what a sight to behold it is. Finishing the trilogy, no I don’t count the third game, in a rap up ending I would say rivals the Bioshock trilogy, if you count DLC. I don’t want to spoil anything and will do as little as possible but be warned it is a possibility before anyone jumps up my ass about it. Batman Arkham Knight really set a new standard for…

Wait… Its not good news at all… Okay so gamers across all platforms have been screwed to some degree or another this week. Batman especially has kind of kicked a number of people in the ass. As I’m sure many people know and have learned first hand the PC version was screwed. So I guess that extra year or so didn’t do much good in the end. The PC version has already been pulled and all sales of it suspended for the time being with no idea when it will be back. I thought developers were going to stop putting…

After almost two decades and multiple gaming generations the final part of the Shenmue story is coming. Shenmue 3 was announced at the Sony E3 conference and has a possible release date of December….of 2017. So yeah I think I’ll save my hype for when the game is actually within shouting distance of getting done. It will be the direct sequel to Shenmue 2, a Xbox game from 2001 which was a sequel to the Dreamcast game. Shenmue 1 was and still is known as one of the greatest games ever. It is probably the earliest and best example of…

I’m usually not too bothered by system exclusive games, primarily because very few games these days come out on some other platform and rarely stay exclusive. Since I chose the PS4 I clearly can’t play Xbox One games but that has not been an issue because the Xbox One doesn’t have anything exclusive I want. To be fair the PS4 has very few exclusive titles I actually care about either but I find myself rather attached, the PS1 did raise me after all. However, I find myself in the precarious position of really wanting to play Rare Replay, an Xbox…

Dreams is a new game from the makers of Little Big Planet that really blurs the lines of art and gaming, a transition many people have been pushing for years now. It also has a simple title that will really confuse Google search. A sandbox multiplayer where you create anything and everything, the game possesses no fixed assets and has you the player create your own world. Instead of having a stock of items and choices you paint using the playstation move function on the controller. The idea it seems is to create your own dream world and share it…

In what could be the future of gaming No Man’s Sky is a very ambitious game. It appeared at E3 last year but a primarily dismissed it at the time. That is not the case anymore. You explore the universe trading and living as best you can while moving towards the center of the universe. I assume it is not like our universe unless we have to defeat a galaxy sized black hole at the end. Simple concept but here’s the kicker; the massive map can contain nearly 18 quintillion possible unique planets to explore. During the announcement he mentions…

Sony announced a new IP, something that becomes an even more foreign concept to large developers as time goes on. To be fair we still haven’t reached the point Nintendo is at where new IP’s are like kryptonite to an already dying Superman. Horizon: Zero Dawn is an intriguing game because it is something that hasn’t been done 100 times before. It a third person shooter, probably adventure game where man has devolved into cave men and animals have evolved into dinobots, an evolutionary step I feel confident Charles Darwin did not see coming. There seems to be some plot…

After almost a decade of waiting and listening to how the game is still not canceled it has finally happened. The Last Guardian has finally been announced official and it isn’t even on the PS3 anymore. No, now it finds itself on the PS4 playing with the big boys. It is not slotted to release until spring 2016 so by the time it comes out it will be a decade give or take. Yet the hype train just keeps going strong. I have a strong interest in this game because it reminds me so much of Ico and Shadow of…

I remember Parker and Stone saying they would never make another game and that bummed me out. However we are now moving away from magic and upgrading to super heroes where the Coon and friends take on Butters/Professor Chaos. With a title that really makes you think I’m excited for this game and with Parker and Stone on the case we don’t have to worry about it being a crap remake. Now they just need to make another movie like they said they would never do again. I AM SUPER CEREAL! It sounds like they have heard the fan cry of…

Toot toot! Welcome to the first stop on the summer pain train, the first stop we have is the Elder Scrolls Online. Usually I prefer not to write a review before I actually finish a game but in the case of Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited I will make an exception. Not having much experience in the realm of MMORPG’s I’m not sure but I assume they are all this big, which is a lot bigger than I would have thought. At my current rate I figure Batman will be out well before I finish this game. While the game…
