Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War leaks and rumors have been the talk of the community as of late, and with a proper reveal full of details planned for tomorrow; some new details have leaked ahead of tomorrow’s announcements, and is some of the biggest news we’ve received as of yet. The leaks come directly out of the files found in the latest update for Modern Warfare’s Wazrone mode which rolled out yesterday.

The description in the game files revealed Black Ops Cold War to be a direct sequel to the first Black Ops entry, and will feature a campaign mode which will take players through the events of the Cold War in the 1980’s. The game will also, of course, feature a Zombie’s game mode; a mode that has been present in every Black Ops title thus far.

The iconic Black Ops series is back with Call of Duty®: Black Ops Cold War – the direct sequel to the original and fan-favorite Call of Duty®: Black Ops.
Black Ops Cold War will drop fans into the depths of the Cold War’s volatile geopolitical battle of the early 1980s. Nothing is ever as it seems in a gripping single-player Campaign, where players will come face-to-face with historical figures and hard truths, as they battle around the globe through iconic locales like East Berlin, Vietnam, Turkey, Soviet KGB headquarters and more.
As elite operatives, you will follow the trail of a shadowy figure named Perseus who is on a mission to destabilize the global balance of power and change the course of history. Descend into the dark center of this global conspiracy alongside iconic characters Woods, Mason and Hudson and a new cast of operatives attempting to stop a plot decades in the making.
Beyond the Campaign, players will bring a Cold War arsenal of weapons and equipment into the next generation of Multiplayer and Zombies experiences.
Welcome to the brink. Welcome to Call of Duty®: Black Ops Cold War.

It’s quite exciting to see that we’ll be stepping away from the “futuristic” setting Call of Duty has presented itself with in recent years, despite the last few Call of Duty entries stepping away that setting; Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War will be the most dated setting Call of Duty title since the release of Call of Duty: World War 2 back in 2017.

With more details set to be revealed tomorrow, it’s quite possible that we’ll finally receive information regarding multiplayer, beta periods, and most importantly a release date. We’ll be sure to keep you up to date with all of the latest reveal info surrounding Black Ops Cold War, as it is unveiled.
