I’ll be the first to admit it, I still have not grown over the tiredness of all the Crash Bandicoot TV Spots that I’ve witnessed growing up. It almost made it seem like there was a new Crash game releasing every month. So while I’m one of those few people who aren’t exactly all that ready for Crash to make a comeback, I can definitely say that I am part of the minority, as many gamer’s all over are quite eager to relive the Crash Bandicoot experience.

The trilogy remaster entitled “Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy” which was announced during Sony’s E3 2016 Press Conference finally has a date! The game will be arriving on PlayStation 4 on June 30th, and will be a pretty sizable overhaul of the first three Crash Bandicoot titles.

While this Trilogy release is still being considered a remake instead of a remaster, it’s definitely a bit of a “stretched” remaster, especially according to the developers. The game director of the title, Dan Tanguay, has stated the release to be a “AAA remaster”. And had the following to say regarding the title:

“We’re giving this the love and attention to detail that we pay to all of our AAA games. We’re building it using the original level geometry so that it plays as close to the original as possible. We’ve also referred to this as a remaster plus, as we are adding new features that we think the fans are going to love!”

Activision also released a announcement trailer for the title, which you can checkout below.
