After a bit of teasing and foreshadowing earlier this year from the people at Team Ninja/Techmo Koei regarding the future of Dead or Alive, the companies have both finally unveiled that Dead or Alive 6 will in fact be arriving in early 2019 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC.
The announcement came alongside a trailer which revealed six returning characters that will be playable in the game, they are; Ryu Hayabusa, Kasumi, Hayate, Helena, Jann Lee and Zack. It has also been reported that there will be 6 brand new characters to the series in DoA6 so expect to see plenty of new faces as well.
In Dead or Alive 6, the franchise will see some major changes, such as new mechanics such as Fatal Rush and Break Gauge – which act sort of as super attacks which are more designated for new players to the series. The game will also focus much more on character portrayal during a match, while also toning down the games overly-sexualized features of female fighters, overall making the game a little bit more appropriate.
While not much further information was announced regarding the game, more details were promised to arrive on June 11th, so expect to hear much more news during a few Press Conferences at E3 2018!
