Sony is really cutting it close this month, waiting until the last second to announce the free games for March. Once again many fans have taken to the comment boards to post how unhappy they are with the lineup again as well. So maybe Sony was right to try and wait on the update after all. Originally having PlayStation Plus was a good way to get old but big name titles for free. Over the last few months however it has begun to go downhill with fewer and fewer big name titles; leading into March which has none. Instead fans will have a series of indie and little known games this month but free is free I guess? There has been some speculation this is because Sony is trying to push their new PlayStation Now service and other titles being remade for the PS4.
Of course number one on the PS4 is the winner of this rounds vote to play contest Broforce. A pixelated fully destructible explosion filled orgy, Broforce represents the base desire of most gamers. With a wide variety of Bro’s to choose from with their own unique weapons there is no end to the Bromaggedon.
On the PS4 is Galak-Z, a roguelike semi-random spawning dungeon spaceship shooter. There has been a lot of similar shooters recently but none feature randomly generated stages; in theory the game could go on forever if the player is good enough.
On the PS3 is The Last Guy. In simple terms it is like playing Pacman on google maps with monsters instead of ghost. The player runs around what almost looks like an actual map of various large cities, collecting survivors and dumping them all somewhere else. There are some mechanics that separates it from games like Pacman and makes it a little harder than just collecting people.
Also on the PS3 is no longer Super Stardust HD but a far more interesting game called I Am Alive. An exploration and survival game the player will have to survive in the remains of a fictional American city. Easily the most interesting thing on the list and the most worthwhile game after Broforce.
On the Vita there is Flame Over, a bizarre chibi fireman simulator game. Players run around, get things wet, save people and try not to die from burns or smoke inhalation. So if you ever wanted to play fireman without the actual fear of being a fireman… I guess this game is for you?
Lastly on the Vita is Reality Fighters. A highly customizable game where players take a picture of their own face and paste it on a fighter. From there players can change basically everything from fighting style to accessories. Even if the picture does look like someone took it while smashed against a mirror.
