The folks over at Xbox have just held a live-stream where they have revealed some new information regarding the Xbox One Backwards Compatibility feature – mainly teasing and announcing some new games that are on the way. It seems that there will be two waves of titles on the way as far as original Xbox titles are concerned, but overall, Microsoft seems to be cranking things up when it comes to bringing over original Xbox titles to the Xbox One. The following titles on the way are as follows:
Original Xbox Games Coming April 17th
- Breakdown
- Conker: Live & Reloaded
- The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind
- Hunter: The Reckoning
- Jade Empire
- Panzer Dragoon Orta
- SSX 3
Original Xbox Games Coming April 26th
- Destroy All Humans!
- Full Spectrum Warrior
- Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction
- MX Unleashed
- Panzer Elite Action: Fields of Glory
- Star Wars Battlefront
- Star Wars Battlefront II
- Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy
- Star Wars Jedi Starfighter
- Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords
- Star Wars Republic Commando
Alongside all of these original Xbox titles that are soon to make their way via the Backwards compatibility program, Microsoft has also revealed that several Xbox 360 titles will be getting backwards compatible Xbox One enhancements. The titles are as follows:
- Darksiders
- Gears of War 2
- Portal 2
- Red Dead Redemption
- Sonic Generations (first time available on Xbox One)
- Star Wars: The Force Unleashed
Needless to say, Microsoft is doing great work with their Backwards Compatibility program, especially with this big push to bring original Xbox titles on the platform. I personally cannot wait to get my hands on SSX3, Blinx, and as well as of course – Conker Reloaded!
