We’ve known it was coming for quite some time, leaks generally always have their way at taking away what would rather be surprising reveals these days, but alas; it has now been formally revealed that a ‘Tears of the Kingdom‘ themed Nintendo Switch OLED console are on the way for all Zelda fans to now salivate over.
The announcement arrived at the tail-end of Nintendo’s recent video presentation, in which Eiji Aonuma, the current director for the Zelda franchise, showcased around 10-minutes of real-time gameplay footage from the title – ultimately showcasing some new creative functions which will be available to us all when we get our hands on the game.
The themed console itself sports a sleek looking Legend of Zelda design, which will definitely give you familiar vibes if you remember the Breath of the Wild themed Nintendo Wii U system, or even much further back, Majoras Mask 3D themed ‘New Nintendo 3DS XL‘ system. Either way, if you’re looking for yet another themed Nintendo console to add to your collection, this one is definitely worth checking out! Especially because this marks the first, and very likely, ONLY, Legend of Zelda themed Nintendo Switch console; so I’d expect this one to be much more popular among the other themed Nintendo Switch systems.
The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom themed Nintendo Switch OLED launches on April 28th, 2023, with the official launch of title arriving shortly after on May 12th, 2023.
