With the Nintendo NX (Switch), finally being unveiled, and with it still containing it’s March 2017 release window; it was only a matter of time until the heavy speculation surrounding a concrete release date would surface on the web. While we still do not know much at all regarding the console, we do know that March is quickly approaching and sometime within January of 2017, Nintendo will likely share official details regarding release dates for the console.
According to a journalist by the name of Laura Dale however, the Nintendo Switch is apparently being planned to release on March 17th in the PAL regions such as Europe and Australia. She’s also apparently been told that the worldwide release would be on the same week as the 17th, but not on the 17th for all other regions. For those wondering the credibility of Laura Dale, she has been a solid source regarding news for the Nintendo Switch in the past; but even still, take this with a grain of salt.
It is very likely that Nintendo will spread up the release date a bit, a few days to a week apart in terms of regional releases sounds reasonable, but a release date is the last of my concerns surrounding the console at the moment.
Obviously, Nintendo has yet to confirm this themselves, so until they do, we’ll treat this like a rumor – just like anything else non-confirmed. Oh Nintendo Switch, you are so close, yet so far away. ~
