We got our first real look at Star Wars Battlefront 2 during EA’s E3 2017 Press Conference today, and I must say, the game looks absolutely gorgeous. While gameplay footage of the game was unfortunately leaked right before the EA event kicked off, that did not damper the hype on the title nor the various announcements regarding some of the games features.
It’s no surprise to anyone that 2015’s Star Wars Battlefront was sort of a flop. Not only was the game buggy on launch, but the title also felt unfinished to many, ultimately lacking content to keep players interested. With Star Wars Battlefront 2, EA hopes to win fans of the franchise back by not only releasing a wide array of DLC, but also making all of it absolutely free!
EA has revealed that the first few batches of DLC will feature elements from Star Wars: The Last Jedi; which is the 8th film that is slated to release this December. While EA has yet to reveal exactly what the multiplayer expansions will contain, it’s quite likely we’ll hear a bit more about that when we come closer to the games official launch.
Overall, EA seems to be heading in the right direction with Star Wars Battlefront 2. The company has emphasized how important fan feedback is for them this time around, and has promised that the experience of Star Wars Battlefront 2 will be an ever-evolving and always-expanding one.
Star Wars Battlefront 2 launches on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on November 17th.
