The farming simulator which took the entire PC gaming community by storm early this year will soon be reaching it’s arms to other platforms as soon as next month! Stardew Valley has probably been one of the fastest growing simulators, as well as indie titles in general, out there; and it’s about o get even bigger!

Stardew Valley will be expanding it’s acres onto Xbox One on December 14th, with it’s PlayStation 4 debut kicking off a day earlier, on December 13th; the information was announced via the official Stardew Valley website. And while it seems there won’t be any brand new content that will come alongside the console launch of the title, the developer has stated numerous times in the past that there are plenty more updates planned.

In addition to this, it has also been announced that the Wii U version of Stardew Valley has been scrapped, as the developer is now looking towards launching the title on the Nintendo Switch sometime in 2017, instead.

“Looking at Wii U and the current gaming landscape, we made the difficult choice to shift our development efforts to creating a version for Nintendo Switch. I am really looking forward to the Switch, and I believe that the Switch’s unique capabilities could create some exciting opportunities for Stardew Valley. I do want to emphasize that I am absolutely committed to seeing Stardew Valley on Nintendo platforms, and I really do appreciate your support and understanding in this.”

Stardew Valley is an excellent game, and I really hope to see it score a few GOTY awards sometime before the end of 2016.
