Heroes of the Storm, the next generation MOBA created by Blizzard Entertainment, has been in Alpha testing for quite some time. After announcing during Blizzcon 2014 that Alpha would soon be coming to a close, we were surprised to be announced earlier yesterday that the Closed Beta phase of the games development has begun! Beta key’s have been going out, and will continue to go out throughout the rest of this week. If you’re looking to get your daily fix of illegal activity on PC, unfortunately there will be about a month and a half wait. RockStar has announced earlier yesterday that Grand Theft Auto V on PC will not be arriving this month, and has been pushed to March 24, 2015. Sony seems to have been feeling really generous lately. It has been reported that NCSoft, has recently registered a trademark for Guild Wars 2, entitled, Heart of Thorns. Which has lead to high speculation that the company will soon be announcing the MMO’s first expansion! Guild Wars 2 released in August of 2012, and still has not yet seen an official expansion, however the game has received multiple updates that have expanded upon the story. The speculation has finally come to an end! Luckily, our last report was indeed correct! Nintendo has confirmed earlier today, that their next Nintendo Direct event will be held on, Wednesday, January 14th at 9am EST/6am Pacific. As usual, the event will feature Satoru Iwata, as well as some of the other head Nintendo executives. An interesting listing has come up over on the Microsoft Store website. The store has recently put up a listing for Mirrors Edge 2, listing the game for a 2015 release. While it has been roughly a full two years since the game was first announced during E3 2013, many have not expected the game to be ready this soon, including myself! Once again, word is going around on Twitter that Nintendo is currently prepping to hold a Media Event/Direct this month. This time, the current rumor is pointing towards January 14th, that’s this Wednesday! Weather or not this is true or false, one thing remains certain, we are definitely over-due for a Nintendo Direct, and now is probably the best time for us to get one. Odds are if this is set to happen, we will hear official details from Nintendo themselves later today. Until then, we’ll keep our eyes peeled for any official announcements.
Earlier this week, Nintendo revealed another goody for their Club Nintendo members over in Europe. They are currently offering a limited edition Ambassador Edition, New Nintendo 3DS system for it’s members. The Super Mario 64 HD remake we heard quite awhile back has once again resurfaced as the talk of the town this week. The YouTube user, aryoksini, who is working on the remake, recently released a developer progress video featuring the game, and how some aspects have changed, overall giving you a side by side small look at how things are coming along. Hopefully the project isn’t TOO far off from being completed. More than likely this will be released PC only, make sure your GPU’s are ready to handle this fresh re-take on everyone favorite 64 classic!
