Been in the mood for some monster slaying lately? I think we all understand by now that abusing our Pokemon is a bad thing, so here’s a better alternative. The 3DS eShop has recently updated, finally featuring the Monster Hunter 4 Demo, as a free download for everyone. Up until recently, if you wanted to play the demo, you had to wait till you received an invite code from Nintendo. If you weren’t lucky enough to receive one, no worries because now you can get your hands on it. The demo should hold you over pretty well up until the…
Rumors over on neogaf have been stirring from a user by the name of KT$2448 regarding a listing over on Nintendo’s site which showcases a special silver and gold versions of the Mario Party 10 Mario Amiibo. Shortly after being discovered, the page was taken down, so we have no solid proof now as to if these are actually in the works or not. Odds are, these could be released as extremely rare Amiibo (like there aren’t rare enough Amiibo already) or as a sort of special edition Mario Party 10 bundle, we really just don’t know yet. A more likely…

Late last night Nintendo released an update (1.0.2) for all Super Smash Bros. Wii U owners. While many of us who were still awake during the time were trying to figure out if the patch applied any balance changes to any characters, we were later surprised to find out the update simply added compatibility from handful of current stages, to work with 8-player Smash. 15 newly compatible stages have been added to 8-player Smash. I personally do not use this feature myself, however for those of you that do, you’ll be happy to know there are now more stages for…
Earlier yesterday, Sega announced that their 20th Anniversary crossover fighting game, Dengeki Bunko: Fighting Climax, will be heading to the west on both PlayStation 3, and PlayStation Vita this summer! Crossover game features characters from Sword Art Online, Spice & Wolf, Virtua Fighter, Valkyria Chronicles, and several more. The game was developed by Ecole Software and French Bread, who also worked on the infamous anime fighter series, Melty Blood, as well as the recent Under Night In-Birth. It will be awesome to see what becomes of this game, hopefully it will contain that same amount of quality in which both…
During Nintendo’s first Direct that took place a few weeks ago, we were all surprised with the trailer, bearing news that a new Fire Emblem game was on the way for the Nintendo 3DS. Shocked that we would be getting an announcement regarding a new Fire Emblem game so soon, well prepare to be even more shocked because the game has been listed for a Summer 2015 release in Japan, as well as a suggested 2015 release for all regions outside of Japan. This information all comes from a previous Nintendo newsletter which was issued in Australia only. Hopefully the…
Sad news if you’re a PlayStation Vita owner…well I’m sure many are, but sad news if you’re avid USER of the device, rather. Anyway, Sony announced earlier yesterday that they will be removing a few of PlayStation Vita’s applications. These include the YouTube app, and the Maps app. Also a few features of the Near social networking app will also be disabled. All of this will go into affect this March, aside from the YouTube app which will no longer function beginning April 20th. Seems a bit strange that they would be disabling such features after swearing the PlayStation Vita…
The final installment of the “Dead or Alive 5” series of games, Dead or Alive 5: Last Round, has been announced that it will be arriving a bit later on PC than intended. The game was originally supposed to launch on Steam, February 17th, Koei Tecmo has recently announced that the game will be pushed to March 30th “in order to provide you with the best possible experience.” As a, what seems to be an apology, Tecmo will be giving away all of the Halloween 2013 costumes to everyone who purchases Dead or Alive 5: Last Round on Steam. Owners…
The popular next generation music streaming service, Spotify, has recently announced that they will be bringing their services to PlayStation. For those who may not be familiar with Spotify, it’s basically a music streaming service that allows you to listen to full tracks, store your own music under your account (like iTunes), for a small monthly fee. The service has grown quite rapidly over the years, and is now one of the most prominent music streaming services out there aside from iTunes and Pandora. Spotify did not mention an exact date on what this service will be available on PlayStation, however,…
It’s a pretty well known occurrence that when it comes to RPG’, they generally release in Japan before the West within a decently long time-frame. It’s something that has plagued us Western RPG lovers since the dawn of time. Luckily for us, Square Enix is planning, for one of it’s most anticipated titles yet, Final Fantasy XV, to release the game simultaneously worldwide. Seeing that we’ve all been waiting for Final Fantasy XV for close to a decade, this alone seems like the best choice they could ever make aside from finally finishing the game and releasing it in general…
