Technically the fourth game in the series it can get really… bizarre. The Hunger Games with dating sim elements you must survive or kill and find the killer… or keep someone else from finding you. It is kind of a bizarre series but it is interesting especially for a story/mystery game. The first three games all came out on the PS Vita so it is nice that one will finally come out on the PS4, although I suspect it will still have mostly the same content so that is a lot of extra money for a Vita level game.
So One Piece is finally moving away from the Dynasty Warrior style to actual fighting games again, something they haven’t done since the PS2 versions. I admit it, I was kind of disappointed with the latest Pirate Warriors but an actual fighting game? Get ready to take on Enel! So it seems the game will focus mainly on Devil fruit users and the trailer only shows like the same 6 characters so I’m not sure what to make of that yet. Short trailer but apparently more information will be released during the week and in coming Shonen… unless you read…
I knew they couldn’t resist the urge, they have finally announced the Jack the Ripper DLC. No you’re not Jack but you do have to hunt him down. Set 20 years ahead of the rest of the game it is unclear who you are but it doesn’t matter, you’re going to help solve one of the biggest murder mysteries of all time. No stand alone price yet but it will be part of the season pass with a number of other items including other missions. Dark, haunting and in classic Whitechapel this promises to be a great DLC.
I remember a long time ago when I was still a young lad talk about a samurai game called Ni-Oh which I thought had come out but maybe it never did. This trailer looked really good though, even if it is very short. I’m excited for this game because it reminds me of a Japanese version of Resident Evil. Instead of a growing selection of crazier ‘zombies’ we get actual Japanese monsters… I assume. All I know is spider woman better stay away from me. Although the announcers words ‘you won’t survive the attempt’ seems oddly ominous though. Only on…
I know Yakuza Dead Souls was kind of a let down but hey! It wasn’t canon so that’s good. Yakuza 4 on the other hand was great if a little heavy on the dialogue. So now we in the US finally get a chance to play the first Yakuza, retitled Yakuza Kiwami, also a great game but rare if not impossible to get in the states. It seems to have been rebuilt from the grounds up from its PS2 version and many new features have also been shoved in… such as baseball and …. foxy boxing? I’m not very familiar…
One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3 One Piece Pirate Warriors 3, the same as Dynasty Warriors but a lot more realistic. Don’t believe me? Think about it, Dynasty Warriors is ‘loosely’, and I use that term in as loose a sense as possible, based on real people from Japanese history while Pirate Warriors is based on badass super humans. Characters from both cut down normal cannon fodder like I mow the grass. The question is, is it more realistic for the real people or the badass super humans to wipe out enemies by the hundreds? Much like Skylanders though Dynasty Warriors…
Grow Home, a game by developers for developers. No really, it was designed by Ubisoft people for their own developers to unwind with. When I worked in the industry we just had a back door code for all downloadable content, not an entirely other team developing our own personal games for us. I like the idea though, give them a chance to do something simple for the other employees to enjoy. Grow Home isn’t that bad either; it is just really simple in concept and fairly simple to play. The premise of the game is that you are a robot…
Xenoblade Chronicles X has come up with its own collectors edition now that includes all the items below, I have a particular interest in the USB myself. It is a bit pricey at 90 dollars but it doesn’t come out until December, a period usually devoid of decent game releases anyways. This game already promises to be a big one for Nintendo next year and I hope it lives up to that. Special Edition Includes: The Xenoblade Chronicles X game A gorgeous book of concept art with more than 100 pages, featuring select art for the very first time…
I noted this a few times because I knew it would happen sooner or later and here it finally is. Nintendo has announced the Yoshi’s woolly world amiibo bundle which includes the game and one of the new yarn Yoshi amiibos. I played Yarn Kirby which was alright so I’m willing to get yarn Yoshi but getting the game with a yarn Yoshi is just icing on the cake. Hey, big men can enjoy cute things too and I’ve always been a fan of Yoshi Island 64. The only lets downs are that you can only get the green Yoshi…
I’m sure many of you are just as excited for Fallout 4 as I am and trying to fill the void with Fallout Shelter, which is interesting but a simple imitation. I would suggest Mad Max to fill the void until then but to each his own. There is an update on news for Fallout 4 and no it is not a change in the release date thank god. No instead Bethesda has already released news on a Season Pass. It seems a little early considering the game isn’t even done yet and they haven’t even started the DLC. It…
