So this is sudden but really cool, from now until September 14 you can download a free level 70 shiny Rayquaza with the move Dragon Ascent from the Nintendo Network. So for those who don’t remember, Dragon Ascent Mega Evolves Rayquaza so no mega stone needed. No purchase or even a need to travel to Gamestop, just hop on right now and download. I already have mine and tried it out… it is sweet. So everyone with Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire can go get it anytime, if you have wifi and I suggest you do.

Well it has been a slow week for games, I have fallen back onto my phone and older systems to keep myself going. The most important news of the week has to do with a Battlefront PS4 bundle and the most obvious xbox one/ps4 Chinese rip off ever for gods sake. Fallout Shelter was just released on Android and it is pretty good, not good enough to quench my desire for Fallout 4 but something to do while my actual video games load. As overseer of your own vault you have to build and add new vault dwellers until…

So it is not all it was made out to be but it is still cool. All PSN Plus members will be able to vote on one of the free PS4 games for September from three choices between August 13th and the 24th. Anyone with Plus can simply vote for their choice at any time from their PS4. The curious thing is that they are actually treating it like an election which is kind of fun.  If it wasn’t for Trump and his bat shit craziness I would find this election far more interesting and I won’t even feel like it’s…

Limbo is like a cross between The Unfinished Swan and Dark Souls. It plays and feels a lot like a little kids story book, in this case Limbo is the entirely opposite of The Unfinished Swan though. Instead of light and cheerful it is dark and it will brutally kill you again and again and again and again and so on until you want to hide in a corner and cry. I didn’t realize how dark until I watched a guy drown himself then used his body as a stepping stone. In this respect it is like Dark Souls, you…

Sound Shapes, a cross buy so you can get it on any PlayStation system, is an interesting music game. I have some experience with Japanese music games but Sound Shapes just has its own unique track and sound that you rarely see in any kind of game now and days. I particularly enjoy the tracks by Beck by a prefer a little vocal in my music. The interface is a little confusing at first but playing around with it clears things up quickly. It does have a wide variety of songs, even if most of them are cut off for DLC’s.…

Coming September 1st it has little to nothing to do with the movie, which was great but it looks like it will be great in its own right which is just… super. Create your own murder mobile and then go out and kill everyone who doesn’t seem to understand that you are in a murder mobile. I’m psyched but I’m a big sand box gamer and hopefully it will keep me distracted until Fallout 4, which feels like a very similar game… but with less murder mobiles… maybe. Also if you order from Gamestop not only will you get the…

Well they have me hooked big time with this trailer. As kind of a hobby historian this game speaks to me in more ways than just a video game but it does look like a great sand box game as well though. I admit it, this is no where near what I was expecting from a mafia game, although it has been a long time since I played a mafia game. This is so much more… if it delivers. This is what I thought LA Noire would be but fell short; a game that correctly portrays a recent period of…

Crackdown 3 is finally here and it is interesting with Batmobile style transforming cars, it jumps on the hype train with 100% destructible environment and the part that interest me it can connect to the cloud and increase the game power by 20 times. It kind of looks like a futuristic Shadow of Mordor but not as good. It is still in alpha though so there is still time to work on it.

Early 2016 people! We will march back into hell and die again and again and again and again and so on. Thank goodness we are moving from Dark Souls 2 back to Dark Souls 1, less humanoid enemies and more super pissed off monsters. I don’t care what game your playing or who you are, if you see a giant skull staring at you… you will freak out a little. There are a lot of big pissed off monsters and a dragon to get your ass kicked killing.

Onechanbara Z2: Chaos, otherwise known as big-chested-samurai-women-massacre-the-undead. This is the third time I’ve played this game now and across all major platforms oddly enough. The first one I played on the Wii and that was an alright game, it looked like I had been rubbing my face in dirt but it handled fine. The second I played on the 360, it still looked like crap but it handled like crap as well. Literally the only part of that game I can remember is fighting an undead killer whale. It was memorable not for being fun but simply for how bizarre…
