Until 12/19/15 Best Buy is running a special where you can buy any 3DS or Wii U game and get a second game 40% off. So if you have any new or recently new Nintendo games to get it doesn’t get much better than this. I would probably get Xenoblade and Zelda myself but I tapped out for the season long ago. I’m not sure if this deal is in stores but it is online so go get it now!

So this is a first for me but apparently it is possible to get a free rare event Pokémon, Hoopa, from McDaonalds. Between November 27 and December 23 you can download Hoopa from most McDonalds… what is this supposed to be promoting anyways? Whatever, it gives me a reason to go get fast food I guess and play pokemon. Then if you can get the Prison Bottle you can mega evolve Hoopa into Djin, which is kind of cool. Not only can you download it to the latest Pokémon games but X and Y as well.

Another year is ending and the gaming season is winding down and as the holidays approach companies focus more on pimping out what they have instead of actually making shit. It’s like having a group of prostitutes standing on the street corner trying to outdo one another for attention. The little kids point and scream at Black Ops 3 demanding to have their go at it while the parents worry it may be a little too old and dirty. So it is almost the end of the year and like many people I am busy as shit with little time for gaming. So while I try and remember what I actually played this year I came up with my top 10 ‘Got to Play’ list for 2016. All the games in this list will supposedly be released in the US at some point during 2016; unlike Yakuza Kiwami which will be released in January… in Japan… probably not until 2018 anywhere else. So there hasn’t been much by the way of games on Kickstarter lately. Something about a skeleton dating sim which makes about as much sense as a dating sim taking place on a tree farm where every tree looks only slightly more identical than the last. So the remake or remaster of a game based off a movie based off a game turns out to be more of a reboot of the entire franchise. This brief look at the upcoming new Ratchet and Clank game and the subsequent movie, coming April 29th, is great if scripted. A good length look at the highly anticipated remaster of Final Fantasy VII on the PS4. There is still no word on a release date but hey it looks great, Barret is a BOSS! Did I mention how great it looks, was that free roam combat I saw though? I was hype, I’m still hype and will remain hype until actual information comes out. So even though it was released in Japan years ago and they already have the next part to boot we are finally getting Yakuza 5… on PS3…. as download only…. what the shit? With a new month comes a new list of free games for December, a year subscription to PSN plus would have paid itself off times over by now.
