As I finish up the platinum trophy for Far Cry Primal I ran into an interesting trophy called “Mark 4 Wenja: Discover the future past.” As I finished the game I mainly thought two things. “Ubisoft would be crazy to not put dinosaurs in this game somewhere” and “The only thing better than riding a saber tooth would be riding a T-rex.” Well apparently I was correct on both accounts or at least it seems very likely. When players find the secret cave to get the Mark 4 Wenja trophy they will also find what appears to be the remains…

The PS TV may have outlived its usefulness and be on its way out the door soon. It was announced that Japan will no longer be shipping out any more PS TV’s. When asked for the reason Sony said due to the stabilization of sales with the PS4 and PS Vita the PS TV was no longer needed. It shouldn’t come as a surprise that Sony has struggled in the handheld market in recent years. Why is this? Well the obvious answer is that Nintendo has had that market on lock down for years and at this point it would…

-First and foremost; how many of the drugs have you taken?  Only beers and weed. And thank God, I’m stoned 14-hours-long, I only have 20 hours left to face reality. -Do you have any concerns or any areas that may be lacking since you are creating the game all alone?  Lancelot is my first game, so I don’t have any experience with working as a team. But I think the coolest thing about working alone is you don’t have to deal with communication, explaining your ideas, defending them to team members or publishers. You think of something funny and you make it. Period. -How did you come to…

Tom Clancy’s The Division, a highly anticipated game that has been delayed for over two years, is finally about to be released March 8th. Almost as in celebration of this an open beta was released for the Xbox One and the PS4 in mid-February and it is sweet. While only a small part or possibly part of the beginning of the game there is still a lot to do. The map isn’t as big as previously indicated but it is completely open world so those of you who like to explore can explore to your hearts content. It is also…

Lancelot’s Hangover is one of the most oddly unique games in some time, which is really something for an indie game. In a market where survival depends almost exclusively on how many fans you can pull in, generally away from other indie games, the most unique usually pull ahead. Of course this isn’t always the case as more professional games appear in the indie market, looking for funds to do something the fans want but no business would back. In a sea of Minecraft and flappy bird clones though finding a genuinely unique experience gets harder by the day. Recently…

Sometimes I regret leaving the West coast, this is one of those times. The final part to the Zero Escape trilogy, Zero Time Dilemma, is supposed to be released sometime in 2016. Not only is it a great series and one of my most highly anticipated games of 2016 but now it has a live action game in LA. Called Real Zero Escape: Trust on Trial, people will actually be able to live through an actual Zero Escape game, with less death… I assume. While I doubt they could match the level of puzzle in Virtues Last Reward it sounds…

Two unique and highly intriguing games recently went up on Kickstarter. While they couldn’t be more different from each other they are still oddly similar; not to mention they both went up almost the same time. Pinstripe and Lancelot’s Hangover, both 2D adventure games (although one is more of a point and click) that focus on religion. While Lancelot’s Hangover is a drug induced retelling of Monty Python’s The Holy Grail (which was already a drugged induced retelling) Pinstripe is a bold and stunning story of an ex-priest in hell. Traversing the different parts of hell in search of his…

One of the latest Kickstarter games Quantum Suicide has made a couple of significant updates to their campaign. The game has already been funded so anything past this point is just icing on the cake and with 13 days left and 25 grand already pledged. First off they added a new stretch goal that will make AI… the AI, a love interest. Something that a lot of people have been requesting and has come up multiple times in the comment section. While this may require some extra work since it seems to go partly against the main plot it would…

The indie market has been a growing competition to get backers and money the last few years thanks to sites like Kickstarter and Steam’s Greenlight. At the same time however people with actual money have been taking an interest in games as well. Some big name stars are even getting into the gaming business like Kim Kardashian, Katy Perry and even Taylor Swift has an upcoming app game. While this could be a good sign that video games are finally becoming more socially excepted and not just something that turns kids violent and crazy I have to wonder; who is…

-What specifically inspired you to create Alice in Tokyo Wonderland? It was an idea my brother created. At the time I needed something to help get my foot in the door as a comic book artist so creating a comic book from this idea was the best way. I’d just learned of Kickstarter so we put it up there and went well over our goal. I started brainstorming ways to reward the backers for going so over the goal and the idea of a quick video game came to mind. Once I started down the path of making Alice in…
